We Live in a Times Where a Blind Man Can Put a Tax on Porn

I read today that New York Governor Paterson wants to tax internet porn.  I have never went for the easy blind person joke before, but come on, this is pretty fucking rich, isn’t it?  Let me offer up that as someone who has observed Paterson from a distance, I haven’t been that impressed with him.  You know would have been more effective in raising revenues and would have been even funnier?  If Paterson was to legalize prostitution, so the state could share in the bounty from the ultimate sin tax?  Think about the possibilities?

Governor Hypocrite meets a call girl at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC.  Governor john pays 4300 dollars to his jizz dispenser.  If the state of New York taxes prostitution at a rate of 10%, how much would the Guv pay?

If your answer was $430 dollars, you are correct.  Just think about how much could be raised for the government.  Think of how much safer the women in the biz would be.  Of course, I have no idea what sleazy local TV news operations would do for shocking exposes during May sweeps, but in New York they could just spend more time on A-Rod.

(NOTE: Since my post below deals with porn, many words I say will seem like they are a euphemism.  All words that are in bold type, fit this description, but are actually not to be taken this way.)

If you haven’t been keeping track, the business of porn has really been hit hard by illegal downloading over the past year.  Sites like Red Tube and You Porn are like x-rated versions of You Tube.  Since few watching porn feel the need to watch full movies, a clip of 5 to 20 minutes is plenty long enough to get the job done.  (For those of you that don’t know what I mean by enough to get the job done I’m saying long enough to get your cock to spit up his angry goo.)  Much like how the music industry has been decimated by internet thievery, things are starting to become that way for the porn biz, as well.  After an explosion of growth over the past decade, the porn biz is going to have to reinvent itself.  People are not renting videos at home or in their hotel rooms like they used to because streaming video allows to get all you want.

Here is my suggestion.  Sites like Bang Brothers, Naughty America, Brazzers Network, Video Box, Mr. Skin, Twistys, Danni.com, Reality Kings, etc. need to find ways to reach new subscribers who don’t know about their great product.  They need to start advertising on sites that reach men, but don’t have mainstream restrictions put on them.  A site like this one that is growing. A site which is run by someone who is planning on promoting his site on major radio shows that he appears on as a standup comic… when he actually gets advertisers.  So smut merchants, please contact me at scott@scottlongonline.com to discuss this great business opportunity.  Thanks, now get back to fucking!

I was listening to Howard Stern last week and heard a great interview with Eliza Dushku.  I have had Miss Dushku in my top 5 list before, and I promise that I won’t take her out of it for a long time, after hearing her on Stern.  She is one of the few women I’ve heard interviewed and by the end I had fallen in puppy love over.  I don’t get the magic that Dodger pitcher Brad Penny has over a woman like Eliza (or Alyssa Milano), but more power to him.  I wish Eliza luck with her new Josh Whedon production, Dollhouse.  Here’s hoping the show uses her talents better than Tru Calling did.

On the same Howard Stern I heard the guys touting a online performance from a former Miss Howard TV, so I looked it up.  If you are adverse to seeing a smokin’ hot woman shake her moneymaker, I would not click on this clip.

Today’s musical selection comes from The Distillers who were fronted by the scary, but sexy Brody Dale.  I have no idea what happened to this band, but they should have been fucking big.
